Use it or Lose it: Make hiring an asset and not a mistake.

You have reached the point where you can no longer do all the work yourself and need help.

So you hire and bring new people on board.

This is the first delegation and department building step.

Maybe you hired a customer service rep or maybe a graphic designer.

Either way these new people are there to support you on your quest and must understand the goals and expectations.

This is where you take on another role.

That of a manager and leader.

This is a delicate time as all the systems/processes and workflows predetermined may change.

As the “designer” of these systems/processes you must leave some room for error. which for positivitiy’s sake I call improvements!

If you are willing and open to let go of control, these people might have valuable information as they experience their new found employment from their viewpoint.

A new solution to a reoccurring problem is always around the corner.

Two heads are better than 1 they say.

Engaging in conversation and accumulating feedback and creative criticism will only put you in an advantageous position of not taking on this explorative workload all by yourself.

This is an especially useful time to listen to the people involved in your business.

Discover new processes and workflows, document, refine and standardize.

Every new addition to the company will bring something good or something bad along with them.

It’s up to you to figure out what that is and use it or lose it for the greater good of your team or people.
